During the summer we were awarded the Contract to construct a new 132kV connection substation for a solar farm near Andover.
Works commenced in August with the earthworks to the substation compound and access road which comprised a substantial cut & fill exercise, strengthening the subsoil using soil stabilisation techniques and construction of sustainable drainage systems.
Site activities are now moving onto the formwork, reinforcement & concrete to the equipment and switch room bases.........
