Sienna recently completed the civils package for a new Super Grid Transformer at the National Grid Substation site in Fawley, Hampshire.
The overall objective of the project was to provide additional capacity to the DNO SEPD to solve on-going issues of non-compliance within their network.
The scope of the works comprised UXO surveying, design & installation of CFA piles, RC works to TX base & bunds, RC equipment bases, pre-cast & in-situ concrete cable troughs and compound construction.
Modifications of the existing assets in the 132kV & 400kV switch houses & compounds also formed part of the Scope.
